Thanks for checking in with the new happenings here at Raezers Edge.  It’s been a long time coming but we are finally getting into the amp game. This is certainly something that has been a long time coming but now that it’s here, it’s very exciting.

Everything, as you might expect, is hand built and wired.  Here’s the short and sweet breakdown:

The Luna amp heads.
There are three distinctive models, all built and housed in the same small 10″ x 6″ x 2″ chassis:

Luna 200 – Designed for use with any instrument, the primary obviously being guitar and bass. 200 watts and tone controls unlike any similar amplifier.
Luna 200 Reverb – Its the same 200 watt amp with a built in REVERB effect.  This Reverb is unlike any you have heard before.  Non DSP with a distance control that allows you to shape the size and where you are in the room of Reverb.
Luna 700 – The same amp on power steroids.  This amp will mostly be of interest to bass players that need to move just a little more air. 700 watts and It’s only a couple ounces heavier then the 200.

The Sol 18/40
This amp is a 1×12 tube combo with selectable 18 or 40 watts. At 28 lbs this amp is any guitar players dream.  Loads of power and even more head room.  Think Fender Blackface AB763 but better!  Three band EQ tone controls and a perfect pedal platform.  We’re happy to offer some custom cosmetic options as well…tolex color and grille cloth etc.  Tube configuration is two 6L6 in the outputs and 12AX7 & 12AT7 in the preamp.

Finally, the last and maybe most important note is that of Sound Island Music (soundislandmusic.com) and the SeQuel amplifier line.  At the start of 2019, I was approached by my long time friend, mentor and founder of Sound Island Music, Michael Biller.  He had been given a terminal cancer diagnosis and asked that I take over his company and carry on what he had built.  I graciously accepted and we are now building the SeQuel line in house.  Some small cosmetic changed are being made but still aim to offer exceptional, modern interpretations of some of the most classic and iconic jazz tones in history.
